ferrari fsx
![]() The FSX is a Ferrari concept car designed by Academy of Art University (San Francisco) graduate, Paul Kim. The name “FSX” stands for Ferrari Sedan Xperiment, because this is pretty much what this vehicle stands for, an unusual design experiment. The vehicle is a four-door sedan powered by a naturally aspirated mid-mounted V12 engine. It is intended to be a car for people who enjoy going on road trips with friends or family, but also like the feeling of driving a sports car. The FSX has floating A and C pillars that direct the airflow around the top of the car, into the engine bay, keeping the V12 engine cool. To provide downforce, air is passed through the revolving rear spoiler. Also at the front of the ride there’s an adjustable splitter, that directs air in the split radiators placed on each side of the Ferrari supercar. [hidden link - please register] |

ferrari 553 f2
[hidden link - please register] The Ferrari 553 F1 , also known as a shark because of its forms and derived from the homonymous Formula 2 is the vehicle by which the Scuderia Ferrari took part in some races of the Formula 1 World Championship in 1954 alongside the 625 F1 without ever permanently replace . It was developed from the 553 F2 . The following year would be replaced by the 555 F1 which represented the evolution. At the end of the 1953 season , when the Formula 2 participated in the World Championship Formula 1 , made its appearance on a new Ferrari for the Formula 2 is completely different from the 500 F2 , was the 553 F2 . This car, the intention of the Scuderia, he should be the basis for the development of a future Formula 1. Unique choice of name that, contrary to the tradition of the brand, he referred to the unit cylinder (499 cm 3 for approximate excess of 500 cm 3 ) only the first digit followed by the year of production of the car, in this case 1953. The engine, a 4-cylinder in line, was different from that of the 500 F2, with whom he shared certain components in in-square displacement and slightly higher (1,984 cm 3 against 1,997 cm 3 ). The power was 180 hp at 7,200 rpm / min. The frame was totally new for Ferrari and had a tubular lattice instead of the traditional longitudinal and transverse anticipating a year, the Lancia D50 . Even the setup of the car was unique with the fuel tanks on the sides of the passenger you were so swollen that create, along with the configuration of the face, gave it the nickname Shark . This allowed placement of the tanks to achieve a particularly low and tapered tail. The suspensions were identical to those instead of the 500 F2: transverse leaf spring and hydraulic shock absorbers front and De Dion axle at the rear. With the increase in displacement to 2,500 cm 3 , cubic introduced in 1954 by the new rules in Formula 1, the car was renamed the 553 F1 and motor-square accentuated his approach with the increase of the bore to 100 mm and the power was 250 hp at 7,500 rpm / min. For the rest of the car remained unchanged apart from the addition of an extra fuel tank in the queue now less tapered. During the 1954 season, the only major changes that were subject was the elimination of the leaf springs in favor of the front coil springs with anti-roll bar before the Spanish GP in order to limit the lack of structure which had emerged in first race she entered. However, these improvements could not compensate for poor reliability and problems that plagued the structure 553 in his short F1 career. In 'winter 1954-55 the 553 F1 was subjected to radical changes that transformed the evolution 555 F1 . The first time a race was the 553 debuted in the Italian Grand Prix 1953 again as Formula 2 piloted by Umberto Maglioli and Piero Carini but neither finished the race. To see in action the 553 version had to wait for the F1 Grand Prix of Syracuse in 1954, race was not good for the world. The circumstances of onset, however, were quite dramatic: Froilan Gonzalez , who was driving, stopped to help team-mate Mike Hawthorn was up against a wall, which with its 625 F1 , but in his haste he forgot to Argentina's stop his car moving back downtown in the car full of English, which by then had caught fire. Both cars were devoured by the flames. Gonzalez had the same best of luck at the ' International Trophy to Silverstone where he won a race in which consisted of the race than the race itself. The official debut in the Formula 1 World Championship took place at the 1954 Belgian Grand Prix at the wheel with flour and Gonzalez but with little luck since they both retired, also in the appointment the next thing that happened in France , where Gonzalez and Hawthorn in the race did not end engine problems. Subsequently, the 553 F1 was seen in tests of the Grand Prix of Pescara and the Grand Prix of Switzerland , in the latter headed by Manzon and Maglioli . The first, however, failed to qualify for an incident while the second trial ended the race in 7 th place. On the occasion of the Italian Grand Prix was once again entrusted to Gonzalez who was forced to retire before resuming the race aboard the 625 of Maglioli winning the 3 rd place. The only success came in the 553 in Formula 1 Grand Prix of Spain at the hands of Mike Hawthorn after the car had been revised in the suspension department. Party in the front row, the Englishman suffers from the start the pace of Maserati , Lancia and Mercedes found themselves so slightly delayed compared to the first. However, at lap 10 the brand new Lancia D50 by Ascari , who was authoritatively in the head with a considerable advantage over his pursuers, was forced to retire with a leak-oil in the clutch and Hawthorn finds himself third behind the Maserati Harry Schell and Ferrari 625 F1 Maurice Trintignant and before Mercedes W196 Fangio. Schell then retires for transmission problems, Trintignant is forced to slow down and control passes to Hawthorn, which is always followed by Fangio. In the end, the Mercedes of Fangio lags far overheating, due to sheets of paper that have clogged the air intake cooling, and has to slow down significantly leaving Hawthorn sure of final victory. |

ferrari 500 f2
[hidden link - please register] The 500 F2 car was a Formula 2 with which Ferrari has run the world championship of Formula 1 in 1952 and 1953 . It was also the first Ferrari to be designed with an engine that was not the 12 cylinders. With this car Alberto Ascari won the drivers championship in 1952 and 1953. At the end of 1951, with the withdrawal of ' Alfa Romeo from racing, the F1 starting grid of the few cars appeared valid. For this reason, before the start of the season 1952, the FIA announced that for the next year and would be allowed to race with cars of Formula 2 , a category which saw the participation of teams as a Gordini , Cooper , Maserati and Ferrari. So one of the few teams prepared for the new demands of F1, Ferrari was just that at the beginning of 1951 he was working on the new 500 F2. Rather than modify the 12-cylinder engine used on the 166 F2 or the previous Formula 1, Aurelio Lampredi decided to design from scratch a four-cylinder Indeo, considered most suitable for the fractionation capacity of 2,000 cc to 2,500 cc and which came into effect in 1954 , both from Ferrari that Lampredi itself. By the spring of 1951, the 2,000 cc engine was ready and the first testing at the counter. Initial tests revealed its greater efficiency than a 12-cylinder engine of equivalent size: had more torque, less weighed 45 kg, had a better power to weight ratio of 15% and could count on 65% fewer moving parts. The power was 165 hp at 7,000 rpm / min, but would come to 200 with the changes over time. The smaller footprint of the engine compared to a 12-cylinder also permitted to obtain a better weight distribution thanks to the gearbox located under the driver's seat and magnets placed behind the front axle. In the two years that saw the star of the world, the 500 F2 underwent very few changes. Apart from the engine that came to touch the 200 hp, the most important change consisted of an elongated snout for use in high speed circuits for better aerodynamics. But apart from these minor modifications, the car did not undergo no change as it is one of an object is balanced in form and substance. The onset of the 500 F2 occurred at the Modena GP 1951 (not valid for the World Cup race) at the wheel with Ascari and Villoresi . The first won the victory in front of Froilan Gonzalez , who drove a 166 F2 , while the latter was forced to retire. The following year the races sanctioned pre-season from the beginning the superiority of the 500 F2 with Ascari, who won at Syracuse , Pau and Marseilles at the wheel while Farina was imposed in Naples . The 1952 season of Formula 1 is opened with the Grand Prix of Switzerland, which did not participate because Ascari committed to familiarize yourself with the circuit of Indianapolis [1] and with the Indy 375 . The inaugural race was still won by Piero Taruffi before Rudi Fischer , both of 500 F2. The rest of the season for Ascari, always at the wheel of the 500 F2, was a triumph and won easily by imposing the world in all races involved: Belgium , France , Great Britain , Germany , Holland and Italy . At the end of the season are placed behind the driver from Milan, also on 500 F2, Flour, Taruffi and Rudi Fischer of Ecurie espadon. The appearance of the season 1953 was more or less the same as the previous year despite the Maserati had become more competitive thanks to the A6 GCM , which was now more powerful than the Ferrari, but as a whole was less for road holding and braking . In 1953, the 500 F2 Ascari won with the GP of the Netherlands , Belgium , Great Britain , and Switzerland and Mike Hawthorn, the French GP . The only official race which saw the victory of the 500 F2 [2] was the Grand Prix in Monza when Ascari and Farina were involved in an accident due to a dubbing and Fangio was able to easily overcome them. Farina, however, ended the race in second position ahead of Villoresi and Hawthorn, all on 500 F2. At the end of the season Ascari graduated back in front of world champion Fangio, the only non-Ferrari driver in the top five in the world. |
