Gentlemen's Singles : Novak Djokovic won his 85th ATP tournament in career (20th Grand Slam, record ex-aequo with Federer and Nadal, and sixth Wimbledon), defeating
Matteo Berrettini (7) 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 after 3h 24'

In first set Djokovic broke Berrettini serve early to go 3-1 and then 5-2 up, but the Italian didn' t give up and broke back the world's N° 1 in 9th game, so the set was decided by the tie-break, in which Berrettini went immediately 3-0, Nole collected three straight points, but Berrettini, with two points in a row, went 5-3, closing then the set 7-4 after 1h 10'; in second set Djokovic broke the Italian twice in a row, going 3-0 and serving for the set on 5-2, Berrettini broke him back, but the Serbian managed to close the set 6-4 after 43'; third set was decided by an only break, made by Djokovic in third game and kept until the final 6-4 after 47'; fourth set was balanced until 3-3, then Berrettini, with a double fault, gave a break to Djokovic and the Serbian, with another break, closed the match 6-3 : this win also put Nole three-quarters of the way to the first calendar Grand Slam of all four Majors since 1969, while Berrettini can console with a wonderful tournament, since he was the first Italian ever to reach a Wimbledon Final.

Ladies' Singles : Ashleigh Barty (1) won her 12th WTA tournament in career (second Grand Slam and first Wimbledon), defeating
Karolina Pliskova (8) 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3 after 1h 55'

With unrelenting will and intent from the very beginning, Barty exploded into the match, winning the first 14 points and quickly establishing a 4-0 lead, then Pliskova broke her back, but in the very next game she went down 1-5 with Barty serving for the set, the Australian didn' t close the set and the Czech player went 3-5, but the world's N° 1 took the first set 6-3 after 28'; in second set, Pliskova struck two forehand errors and a double fault to hand over the break at 1-1 : down a set and a break, Pliskova never stopped toiling and she finally found her serve and pieced together a series of strong service games, but at 5-5, deuce, Barty demonstrated her supreme athleticism as she retrieved four big Pliskova forehands that would have ended the point against most other players, before drawing out a final forehand error, Barty stood up to serve for her first Wimbledon title, only to find that she did not yet have the nerve, strucking a double fault and two forehand errors and handing over the game : the first true glimpse of weakness emboldened Pliskova, who responded with a brilliant tie-break, in which, from 1-2, she won 5 consecutive points, closing then the set 7-4 after 49'; in the final set Barty shrugged it off immediately, holding serve in the opening game and then taking advantage of a loose, error-strewn service game from Pliskova to establish a 3-0 lead and, despite a series of strong holds from Pliskova, Barty stepped up 45' later to serve for the match for a second time : at 30-30, she dumped a forehand drive volley into the net, history on the verge of repeating itself. But on the break point, Barty produced an exquisite backhand defensive slice off a Pliskova return, which led to a backhand error from Pliskova, Barty never looked back from there, Barty firing an ace down the T and then drawing out one final backhand error to take her first Wimbledon title, kneeling in tears of joy after becoming the first Australian woman to win Wimbledon since her mentor and idol Evonne Goolagong Cawley in 1980.
