Looks like a transponder change may be on the cards for (some of the) Studio 66 channels.
The transponders used today are 11344H (for 912) and 12643V (for 927,938 & 941) They are however testing on two channels on transponder 11390V. This is the transponder owned by Playboy, and used by them as also for RLC and Storm. The "testing" channels are called 53540 (PIDs 2316 & 2317) and 53545 (PIDs 2319 & 2320). These new channels are both running 544x576 flagged as 16:9 with ABR of 2Mbps The 11390V transponder is getting full, and in adding these channels, they keep reducing the bandwidth to other channels (effectively squeezing more channels into the bandwidth of the transponder) |

I was expecting that this would happen sooner or later...
 Yesterday I had to notice a very bad picture quality on one of the Studio66 TV-channels. After checking my recordings it's sadly obvious that Studio66 has reduced the resolution and bitrate for TV1 significantly: [hidden link - please register] Resolution: from 544x576 to 480x576 Videobitrate: from 2400kbps to 2100kbps No changes so far for the other three channels, but I'm afraid they will "follow" soon, because reducing the bitrate is a very effective way to save money for satellite-transmission. I really wish Studio66 would bring back some of the "qualities" and the professionalism of the former Elite-TV, but I'm very sure that's.not gonna happen... It's all about the money for them now and I guess that's what got them so much into trouble. Elite-TV was probably the best babechannel ever, Studio66 is imho not even a shadow of Elite-TV. It seems to me everything has changed and not in a good way and additional it gets worse and worse Is it really so difficult to get the schedule right and some other things? I don't know if Studio has only amateurs working for them or if they simply don't care anymore... 1. channel-switching like crazy 2. very annoying onscreen-graphics 3. and now it seems the excellent picture-quality could be history soon but don't forget their great ideas like the "overlays", which Studio66 has introduced in the last weeks. Why not announce when a girl is free on all four channels? It's a lot more effective and who cares if it ruins the shows. I have to say they have at least a talent for the last part. I don't know what to say anymore... I wish they would get their act together, but imho it's hopeless and I have a very bad feeling about this channel. You may have noticed that on the S66 website, there are sometimes (often?) problems viewing the streams when they're "unallocated". For example, Danielle is now on Option 3, but her pic is still showing option 2. Clicking on Option 3, however, takes you to the webcam page (Abbey, in private)
 So what to do? Simple. Go over to the live stream on this very site: [hidden link - please register] The only downside with this is that it will time out after a minute, but if you've got a voi pay account (like me) log in to that and problem solved. Hope this helps ;) PS: Since I started writing this, Danielle's pic is now on Option 3, as it should have been in the first place. |

All of the S66 and RLC webstreams have been playing without issue for me since I started watching at 9pm. I'm sure I've jinxed myself now.

Yep, I keep getting a DNS error for "Playback.d2see.com" so RLC's streams are down as well. I guess they forgot to get the new url registered with everyone. So hopefully it will be updated within 24 hours. Although, I'm not sure why they have decided to use an rtmpte:// prefix.  If it's not one thing it's another with these channels. Professionalism, seems to be a word that no longer exists for these people.
