Roger Moore, Who Played James Bond the Longest, Dies at 89 ... R.I.P.

Roger Moore, the handsome Londoner who portrayed James Bond in more films than anyone
else and did so with cartoonish, cheeky charm and probably for a bit too long, has died. He was 89.

The Englishman also was suave as another hero, Simon Templar, in the British TV series 'The Saint.'
“I would have loved to have played a real baddie,” he once said.

A message from his children, shared Tuesday on the actor's official Twitter account, read,
"It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our loving father, Sir Roger Moore, has passed away today in Switzerland after a short but brave battle with cancer."

Re: News from the World

I am truly saddened and devastated by the events that took place last night. Innocent children and teenagers went to a pop concert which is something they were really looking forward to for weeks on end. I cannot imagine the sheer hell which the parents are currently going through. My words aren't enough to sum up the deep sadness that I am feeling right now. I just cannot comprehend how this evil can happen.........Cry

My sincere thoughts are with all those effected by the events that took place last night.

[hidden image - please register]

Jonathan Demme, the Oscar-winning director, producer and screenwriter, has died at age 73. The cause of death

Demme lived and where his production banner Clinica Estetico was for so long a catalyst for many memorable films.

The second ever copy of the United States Declaration of Independence is found hidden in a British archive ...

Harvard academics have discovered a second parchment copy of the Declaration of Independence at
a records office in southern England. The only other parchment copy is on display at the National Archives
in Washington, DC, researchers Emily Sneff and Danielle Allen have said in a statement to the Boston Globe.

[hidden image - please register]

The newly discovered document has been dated to the 1780s and was found in the town of Chichester's
archives. 'I was just looking for copies of the Declaration of Independence in British archives,' Sneff told
the Guardian. She became excited when she saw that the listing mentioned parchment - which suggests
a special document and not a simple copy. [hidden link - please register]
